Compudata's Paper Policies: How We're Making a Difference

FSC Certified Paper:

The Forest Stewardship Council is recognized by both the Rainforest Alliance and the World Wildlife Fund as the leading standard for the responsible management of our forests. Compudata is committed to reducing the impact of the pulp and paper industry on our forests, waterways, and wildlife, and so we have committed to using FSC certified paper whenever we are required to print.

Chlorine-Free Paper:

Chlorine-free paper is a responsible alternative to chlorine bleached paper. Chlorine and its derivatives are the most common bleaching agents used within the pulp and paper industry, and are particularly harmful to the environment, negatively impacting our lakes, rivers, and wildlife. Compudata is committed to using TCF, (totally chlorine-free) or ECF, (elementally chlorine-free) paper.

Recycled Paper:

Wherever feasible, Compudata tries to use partially or totally recycled paper whenever we print. We have committed to increasing our use of partially and totally recycled paper for 2012.  Compudata has also committed to recycling our paper waste. Scrap paper is collected and reused for draft or proof documents. All waste paper and shredded paper is collected and recycled.

Reduced Output:

While we still produce paper documents for clients upon request, we now send most of our invoices and quotations as electronic documents, greatly reducing our total paper output.  Compudata has also effectively reduced paper output by approximately 25% with duplex-printing, using both sides of our paper whenever possible.  In addition to these measures, Compudata has also switched to an electronic fax service.  For those who still need to fax documents to us, they will be delivered electronically, rather than being printed on paper.
