Migrating IT to Compudata

Transitioning service providers can be a complex process, and often may involve several unexpected matters. Transitioning your IT services to Compudata whether directly from your organizations internal IT or from another service provider, typically consists of three distinct phases of services delivery that we refer to as: Migrate, Renovate, and Steady State.

The Migrate phase covers the standard activities involving Compudata taking over service delivery and responsibility from either your internal I.T. or an incumbent service provider. These activities first include, the assignment of a dedicated Compudata Account Manager that will act as your primary point of contact and the transfer of administrative access to your key IT infrastructure.

Following our successful migration, the Renovate phase includes a complete analysis of your existing IT infrastructure; defining and describing jointly agreed projects that Compudata would recommend undertaking to enhance the technical and business environment to an agreed level. Compudata’s “Renovation” of your IT infrastructure is managed as a series of projects in parallel with Compudata delivering routine scheduled maintenance, while monitoring the integrity of your core IT infrastructure. In most cases, renovation to your existing infrastructure can start almost immediately and be run in parallel with our migration phase.

The scale of infrastructure renovation will vary from client to client, but it is during this phase that Compudata is able to start to deliver priority service improvements. Compudata forecasts your IT infrastructure will reach our Steady State, within a period of approximately three months, at which time routine maintenance will continue to monitor and maintain your IT infrastructure and non mission critical assignments can be prioritized.

The importance of communications in Compudata’s Migrate, Renovate & Steady State is vital Strategy cannot be overestimated. The transition period can be in some circumstances an unsettling and uncertain time for your organization and your employees. Communication, engaging and setting expectations with all stakeholders on a regular and timely basis is a critical component of Compudata’s success with your organization.
