When you’re trying to run a business, there are a few things that you will require of your technology solutions. However, finding a solution that fits the bill isn’t always the easiest thing to do independently. That’s why we’re dedicating this week’s tip to an overview on using Google’s solutions for your business’ benefit.
What Are You Looking For?
If you’re like most business decision makers, there will be a few priorities you have when you’re trying to select your business’ software. You’re going to want something that keeps your business’ data secure while still enabling your staff to access and utilize it. You will want reliable tools for them to leverage throughout their day-to-day responsibilities, and you will want something that you can manage and control if need be.
You want a tool that you can count on, that allows you to get down to business.
As it happens, Google offers precisely the tools that a manager will need to ensure that the business is ready to be productive. Not only does Google offer an assortment of productivity applications, but it also promotes the collaborative processes that many companies find attractive.
Being the Boss Has Its Perks
Of course, when you’re in charge of the business, you have a few extra privileges over its data. G Suite provides security and control through a centralized administration portal that makes setup and management easy. There are tools to help you manage certain groups of people, with charts to see how often people use Gmail, Google Docs, and other G Suite apps.
As far as security goes, you can set up access control to provide or deny access to the network. You can also provide application-only access. Additionally, you can set up users with two-factor authentication to ensure that your G Suite solution remains secure.
Jam Out with Jamboard
Jamboard is a new Google product that helps teams build collaborative environments. Under the Google Apps menu inside G Suite, look for the Jamboard App. Once you begin, you can use your stylus or mouse to jot down quick ideas and collaborate with your team. Currently, content can only be added to Jamboard through the mobile app in G Suite, but teams can view and comment on projects on a PC. As a collaboration tool, Jamboard is extremely useful.
Don’t Forget the A.I. Integration
Google hasn’t been shy about integrating their “Smart Compose” technology to their applications. G Suite is the latest Google product to be outfitted with these features. How it works is when users compose an email it will provide suggestions to complete the sentence. Since it learns as it goes, it can really cut down on time after a short period of learning. To use the suggestions, users need only to tap the tab button.
If your business is looking to move to a cloud productivity platform, Google’s G Suite is as good as any on the market. They are continuously building new functionality and with all the administrative controls and metrics, any business can get more out of their production staff.
